October 2026 – Port delays in Asia due to typhoons

Typhoons have tied up around 3 million TEU, or 8.5% of the global container fleet, with average vessel delays of 6.8 days. Recovery could take between 7 and 10 months.

We recommend booking well in advance, allowing extra buffer in transit times, and factoring the risk of roll-overs into your shipment planning.

July 2026 – New EU regime for low-value shipments

Since July 1st, 2026, a fixed customs duty of €3 applies to shipments valued under €150. Two further developments are expected in November: product identifiers would become mandatory from November 1st, and the EU handling fee is expected as early as November 2026, although this last point has not yet been confirmed.

Spanish inspectors require a customs clearance authorization which allow us to operate under your name and clear customs for you.

So we need you provide following documents:

• Please, print document Customs Authorization and fill in with your company data in the first sheet. Please, seal and sign at the end of second sheet, under the text “THE GRANTOR”.
• A scanned copy of the identity card or passport of the person signing the document.
• A copy of the power of representation (or power of attorney) of that person in the company (customs inspector wants a proof that signing person is working in the company and has power enough to sign it).
